Una mexicana entra a un café de Madrid con un libro de cuentos de realismo mágico. Como artista, lleva mucho tiempo sin crear ni escribir. Algo puede ser diferente con buen café y un entorno casi fantástico donde todo va cambiando mientras ella encuentra, por fin, su mundo creativo.

A Mexican woman enters a cafe in Madrid with a book of magical realism stories. As an artist, she hasn’t created or written for a long time. Something can be different with good coffee and an almost fantastic environment where everything changes while she finally finds her creative world.

Cecilia González Reza

Guionista, directora y productora mexicana y española. Fundadora de Exterior Mar Producciones. Licenciada en Literatura en la UDLAP. Estudió el máster en Escritura Creativa en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y el curso de Guion de cine y TV en la Factoría del Guion. Autora de varias novelas. Su corto Cine y despedidas, del que fue guionista y productora, fue seleccionado en varios festivales, entre ellos el Festival Internacional de Cine de Granada Premios Lorca. De ambos lados del mar es su ópera prima como directora.

Mexican and Spanish screenwriter, director and producer. Founder of Exterior Mar Producciones. She graduated in Literature from UDLAP. She studied the master’s degree in Creative Writing at the Complutense University of Madrid and the film and TV scriptwriting course at the Factoría del Guion. She is the author of several novels. Her short film Cinema and Farewells to Her, of which she was a scriptwriter and producer, was selected for several festivals, including the Granada International Film Festival Lorca Awards. From Both Sides of the Sea is her debut feature as a director.
